Mamma Mia's Trattoria - Lake Worth

I had there shrimp stuffed with crab meat special, and it was wonderful. Lots of real crabmeat combned with a wonderful sauce. I just wish that they slowed the service down a bit so that I could savor my food. I had the feeling that they wanted us out of there as soon as possible. Since there were empty tables. there was no need to push us out

Very consistent place. Food is always excellent. A great go to place when you want a good meal at a reasonable price in a nice atmosphere and good service.

Three pasta dishes were great. Salmon overcooked. Server woypuld have changed it had we asked though.

We love this restaurant. The food and the service are always excellent. This time though, even though we had a reservation, we were seated in the back room and the noise level was terrible. We could not hear ourselves or the wait staff. We asked for a table in the main dining room which although crowded was much more quiet. The hostess said we’d need to wait. We pointed out an empty table. She said that was a table for 8 and we were a party of six. We asked if there was a reservation coming in for 8. She said no. We pointed out that the table was only set up for 7 and there really wasn’t room for 8 there. After making us wait for about 20 minutes we were seated at the table we originally requested. Our server was excellent. The food was delicious and plentiful. But one of the couples with us were first time patrons of this restaurant. They were furious and have said they’ll never go back. Unfortunately, the noise and the way we were treated when we asked for a more quiet table was not the way to impress new customers.

Mama Mia Trattoria provided satisfactory service but disappointing food. We dined with friends from New York and did not wish to complain. Salads were fair. Flounder francais was bad: the fish was mushy and in little bits, as though a fillet had been dropped and picked up or as if inferior fish had been used. Portions were more breading than fish. Mixed vegetables, an alternative option to pasta, consisted mainly of sliced cooked carrots, a very cheap vegetable. Baked ziti with eggplant was also mushy. The baked dish had mainly overly soft ziti and heavy ricotta, with eggplant and mozzarella barely detectable. My girlfriend also had ordered the same fish and mixed vegetables. Her husband had ordered chicken cacciatore, which was fair. We do not recommend this restaurant.
