L'incontro Italian - Lake Wales

This was our first visit here. What a wonderful experience. The food was incredible, staff was very friendly and attentive. It was a very relaxing evening with friends. We will definitely go again.

The service was not as expected. Customers with later reservations were seated prior to our group, same size table. Part of our group received appetizers 15 minutes before others. Food quality was excellent, just very slow getting to the table. All rounds of the meal also came to the table at different times. Total time in the restaurant was around 2 hours, even though we all ordered as soon as the waiter requested our meal choices. The table seated next to us arrived shortly after we were seated. They also had 3 courses and departed as our main courses started to arrive. The restaurant was definitely busy, however no other tables had the long delays that we experienced. The gentleman in front of us ordered carry out and sat at the bar. He departed with two large bags while we had not seen any food items , other than bread ? Overall food was very good, but it was delivered in an inconsistent and delayed manner.

I've been to this restaurant multiple times and, unfortunately, this was not up to the previous trips. While our waitress was sweet, I was a bit shocked at how slow everything was. After placing our food order, it took about 45 minutes for our soup and salad which wasn't correctly made. The didn't dare send it back because that would have taken even longer to receive. When our main dishes came, mine once again wasn't made correctly. Furthermore, it looked like my plate was covered in oil and butter which was not what I ordered. It seems like they were clearly under staffed which is why it took 2 hours for a table of 4 to have a meal.

Excellent food, nice atmosphere, a little on the quiet side. My low rating is a result of rude service. Our table that we reserved wasn't ready when we arrived. We were actually on the late side. The server said well I could put you in the middle table, in a condensing manner. Later on we requested a bottle of red wine, after more than 10mins and well after our appetizers were finished, he came to the table and said the wine was out of stock. He deliberately ignored us when we tried to get his attention. We heard him laughing and treating the other patrons respectfully, clearly it was us he did not like. I suspect he did not like my comment when I indicated surprise that our reserved table wasn't ready. Why didn't they seat those patrons in the middle? We left a decent tip, not for him but for the rest of the staff who were pleasant and obviously know the meaning of “customer service”. Unfortunately the whole situation has left us with a bad taste.....we will never be back.

Always a dining favorite! We arrived early but our table was waiting for us. Cocktails were served quickly and accurately. They allowed us plenty of time to relax and enjoy them. I ordered the chicken Marsala and my husband ordered the spaghetti. Both were delicious! We enjoyed our dinner and are thrilled to have them as a fine dining option here in Lake Wales.
