The decor is simply rustic with homemade table tops and chairs. They helped us decide on food and drinks. Another couple sat when we arrived when we finished two more groups of people. This was good after the proximity and we never felt the need to hurry because they enjoyed all of us independent of the time. Our sandwiches were excellent fresh Cabata bread I've ever eaten. Free upgrade from bacon to house made pigs belly... Yum, I hope this place is hungry because he deserves it. One of the Ozarks best kept secret.
Although I did not get any food I was very impressed with this place. My husband and I came in in the middle of the day and it was super hot outside. We asked for a cup of coffee and the waitress made us some. She was super helpful and giving us ideas of places to check out. So we had excellent service!
We ordered the pork belly, lettuce, and tomato (PBLT) with pesto for my wife. We got a normal BLT. It had no pesto. I ordered the reuben. The taste was good, but the meat was very tough. That's weird for a reuben, you can buy pastrami at the grocery store that is tender, weird. Ripping the meat out of the reuben caused my already precarious sandwich to just fall apart. I did not like ripping out meat from a greasy sandwich. Everyone needed napkins and showers afterwards. The fries were crazy greasy and way over salted. I drank water the next 4 hours. I wouldn't have eaten them but I was extremely hungry. Do not recommend.
We had high hopes given all the good reviews (and that they own the fresh bakery next door) but had an absolutely terrible experience/lunch here. My husband and I both ordered the beef philly cheese steaks and fries. The fries actually tasted like the potatoes were rotten and the philly cheese steaks weren't much better both the beef and the potatoes tasted like they had been thawed, refrozen, thawed then left for a few days. We both ate one fry each from our order and maybe 3 4 bites total from the sandwiches but could not finish them as they tasted actually bad. We literally left all the fries and 3/4 of each sandwich uneaten when the waitress came by and we expressed we thought the food was actually bad/not fresh. Now, she did ask if they could replace it with something else which was nice but we were actually worried at that point about eating anything here (and had visions of some of the scary Bar Rescue environments). We kindly declined her and asked for check shocked that she charged us full price we paid over 24. for really bad food which we didn't eat. We know it's a tourist trap area but really hoped for more. We wouldn't recommend. There is a Subway down the street a few miles.
My mom ordered a pretzel and got some bread that was raw. Chicken wings were horrible. Fries were brown and crunchy. Fries had to be weeks old for how awful the food was. I would never go back again because all they did was serve the worst food and close right after we paid because they are “WISE GUYS”, well a guy and girl.
