Marine Village Resort - Lake George

Have been going here for years, wouldn't stay anywhere else. Staff is awesome, and place is spotless. Rachel is very outgoing and makes sure everything is perfect. The little perks they offer are a nice gesture- root beer float, tacos, pasta, smores. Walk to town etc is easy and don't need your car unless doing a day trip

Paid ALOT for a “lakeside”room. Asked for one “closest to beach way ahead of time”. Assigned room 27. Don’t bother. View of the parking lot w a glimpse of the lake if we walked out to parking area . cramped crowded beach with very small swim area. Nice location. Room dated with peeling wall paper …Rooms: Small old cleanAble to walk to everything

Made a reservation months in advance. Paid extra for lakeside room (lakefront not available). Requested room closest to lake. Arrived on time and assigned to room 27. 2/3 closer to road than lake View from room was the parking lot w a glimpse of lake if you stepped way outside. Room small and torn wall paper in “updated” bathroom. Beach is cramped and crowded w chairs no more than 2 feet apart. Swim area even smaller. Not sure you can go outside ropes area. Told we had to wear wrist bands while on property. I am NOT in an amusement park ! Ice machine locked up because “everyone fills their coolers”. No towels for pool but can purchase at front desk… Has small frig and microwave. Bed and bathroom were clean. Can walk everywhere. Have stayed at several LG lake view/front motels. This one not worth it, unless lakefront and you’re ok w cramped crowded beach and swim area.

I would NOT recommend this property. We had a family emergency, my husband was in a bad motorcycle accident and was hospitalized with several injuries. I had to cancel our stay at Marine Village Resort due to the accident which occurred 1 week before we were supposed to be in Lake George. The property refused to waive the cancellation fee...which was almost $500... because it was not within their 21 day cancellation policy. We fully intended 21 days out to go to Lake George for my son's tournament. The only reason we cancelled was BECAUSE of the accident. I understand under normal circumstances the 21 day cancellation policy should hold, however, these were circumstances beyond our control.

When I called made reservations the lady had a bad attitudeBut when i went the people who work there was nice and cleaning lady was super sweet . One problem was one racist lady that that kepted on staring at me and my family for no reason kepted on staring at us every move whispering it was very uncomfortable. Even walking every move she was just staring really nasty laughing rolling her eyes . We weren't even loud of bothering anyone we were in our own corner quiet she just kepted her eye on us .
