Mama Riso's - Lake George

I absolutely love Mama Riso's's! We are here at least once a week. The owners could not be more accommodating, the service is excellent, and the food is outstanding. Authentic, amazing Italian specialties!

Great food and service!! We will come back. We had chicken parm, pasta ala vodka, Shrimp and scallop dish as well as a special.

I've been here several times and never had a bad meal. Actually always 4 star plus. But it's not waterfront, and I've gone to other favorites. Well on Monday and Tuesday they are the only fine dining restaurant on the east side of Lake George. So I ordered Steamed clams. Amazing. No grit. Tender. Perfect. Best I've had outside a NJ or Maryland clam house. The Manhattan cocktails were also perfect. The food stunning. My partners Veal parm, melt in your mouth. My fra diavlo perfect. Seafood melts in your mouth. Pasta perfectly andante . One of the best Italian meals I've had on the Eastern Seaboard. And I've lived in NY city, NJ, near Philadelphia and in Washington DC. Also extensive wine list. Classic Italian. Music is American standards and Jazz. This place just moved way up my list. Service was great. If your here to dine, was fine. If you're in a rush. Go elsewhere. I've spent 3 lovely hours here. Terra masu was over the top. If your looking for Italian around Lake George, this is the place.

The only good thing about the meal was the service. We had both ordered specials. The strip steak tasted like a microwaved burger and the San Remo pasta looked like a cooking experiment. We will not be back.
