Amazing pork dish. The pork chop itself was cooked perfectly but the real star was the Butternut squash and Brussel sprouts. Like vegetable candy. My fiancé could not stop eating it. His filet was also very good but the pork stole the show. The kofta was good but the cottage cheese dill rolls were so worth the carbs! Ecstatic to have found somewhere my guy will go in Lake Geneva besides Gino's East. Will certainly return! Also... cannot beat that view at sunset!
Lake Geneva (although I do enjoy my time spent there) can be an overly dry, pretentious place. Savoy was lovely, and that was due to our wonderful server and food. Menu changes regularly, but we had a steak, a scallop and a duck entrée (duck was not gamey, tender and absolutely delicious). For appetizers we had a beet slaw, dill rolls and what seemed like a steak Queso (not featured on the Spring menu). I feel awful that I cannot remember our servers name but both he and his brother both work there (his brother is a busser), I gave this place four stars because we ordered our steak rare and it came out a bit overcooked, but still delicious. Great lake views as well!
Great addition to Lake Geneva! I'm so glad to have a new restaurant with fresh, creative and delicious dishes. My husband and I have a cottage that we will be renting out this summer so we have been scoping out places to recommend to guests. We really enjoyed our evening. We were there in March, and it was dark so we couldn't see the lake, but it looks like a beautiful view. I was thrilled to see labels for gluten free dishes, but super bummed they didn't have a single gluten free option for dessert. A fruity twist on creme brulee or a chocolate hazelnut mousse or something would be a perfect offering. Also, the outside of the restaurant is not very well labeled at night--we weren't the only car driving around trying to figure out the entrance was. And once inside, the entry area is very sterile and brightly lit, almost jarring. It's such a quaint and charming exterior, but walking in the door kind of kills that vibe. They need to create a more dimly lit welcoming entryway. Once beyond the host stand/entryway it is very well decorated with a combination of rustic and natutical, and lots of windows overlooking the lake. All in all, the service was great, and the food was excellent. We will be back and will suggest it to our guests.
Savoy is conveniently located a five minute walk from Mars Resort. We had heard so many things about Mars but not that the wait would be ridiculous! So we were actually very happy to have found that Savoy was close by and offered good food. We started with cocktails. I ordered the Spicy Margarita. Apparently it was recently added to the menu. The bartender came over and asked me if it was too spicy. I actually had wished it was a lot more spicy! I also ordered the Blackberry Old Fashioned as well and that was delicious. We started with the sourdough bread with pumpkin chutney. It was definitely something different that I had not had before. I really enjoyed it. I ordered the pork chop as my entree. It had a sweetness to it. It was very good. I would recommend! Though, the other items on the menu looked very tempting. Our server was super nice and helpful. Would recommend if you're looking for something a little more upscale!
