Big Wok Mongolian B-q - Lake Forest

This Mongolian BBQ restaurant is pretty basic. They offer buffet bowls for lunch, which is what we tried. Each customer gets to make their own bowl and then watch it be cooked. I do wish there were more sauce options available. My food seemed to stick to the grill too much, and I'm not sure if the cook added enough water. Overall, the meal was nothing special. Also, it's odd that they don't allow you to take leftovers home in containers.

The food quality is decent and prices are reasonable. The restaurant appears clean, but upon closer inspection, it is not. The one-star rating is based on the poor customer service, as the staff is rude and unprofessional. If customers don't mind average food in a dirty environment and don't mind being treated disrespectfully, then this is the place for them.

All you can eat Mongolian is one of my favorite things. They overcooked our sesame bread but everything else was exactly what I wanted. They don't have the guide that tells you what combinations of sauce to use for different flavors but I always freestyle it anyways. Bring cash to tip the cooks they do a great job and cook everything to perfection. Great variety and delicious food. Come hungry and leave way too full

I wish this restaurant was closer to my home! They offer a variety of choices where you can use two bowls, one for meat and one for veggies. They have excellent safety precautions in place, such as wearing gloves to handle utensils and requiring masks in the buffet area, even before COVID. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you receive.
