Wooden Nickel Cafe - Lake Country

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. The coffee was also delicious. We visited for breakfast and highly recommend trying it out!

I have visited this restaurant multiple times. They serve delicious home-cooked meals and you can also purchase take-out soups to enjoy later. I highly recommend this place.

We were up in Lake Country for a family wedding and stayed in the area saw a couple of recommendations for the Wooden Nickel as a breakfast spot and thought we’d give it a try. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but...inside it’s run like a finely tuned operation. Fabulous, friendly service ... delicious food with homemade sour dough bread and amazing cinnamon buns. So good we went back the next morning ... they were much busier but the service was still amazing ... great teamwork and all with a smile.

Went here once a few years ago when we first moved to Lake Country. At the time it was nothing special so I had not been back, but our last visit was a pleasant surprise they have a new look but still homey not your...fast food restaurant type of place. The food was good and the prices don't hurt your wallet. Its worth the stop, I will try it again if we are in town for lunch.

Staying in Lake Country last week, looking for a breakfast place close by without driving into Kelowna. The Wooden Nickel is a locally owned bright little breakfast and lunch restaurant. They have friendly staff and hearty portions. I ordered the eggs Benedict, others had bacon/sausage and eggs with homemade sourdough bread, yum! We also went back for a lunch, great sandwiches as well. It is wheelchair accessible and has good parking...I have a broken leg and am using a walker - ample space for seating within. Please support our hard working local restaurants and vendors.
