Boatwright's Dining Hall

We stayed at Port Orleans Resort and enjoyed a Mother's Day dinner at Boatwright's. Since our reservation was for a later time, the restaurant was not very crowded.

This Disney dining location continues to provide a quality experience in both food and ambiance. The menu features imaginative Southern cuisine that complements the setting beautifully.

As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The décor captures the charm of a traditional riverside eatery, and the friendly staff provides exceptional service that enhances the overall experience. The menu features a delightful variety of Southern-inspired dishes, each prepared with fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. Whether you're indulging in their signature jambalaya or enjoying a decadent dessert, every bite is a treat. Delicious food! I was initially hesitant to try this restaurant, but after my visit, I’m happy to say I would definitely return in the future. The corn bread and butter were an incredible way to kick off the meal (we ended up ordering another serving). We enjoyed the French onion soup and Boudin balls, both of which were wonderful! My group ordered the Jambalaya, Nashville hot chicken, and deep south shrimp and grits, and all the dishes were delightful! While I’ve had better chicken and shrimp in the South, this restaurant still delivered some fantastic flavors! My only critique is that the Jambalaya was a bit on the salty side. The desserts were also tasty, especially the banana bread pudding. Our server provided excellent customer service as well.

The warm cornbread with honey butter was an excellent way to begin the meal. I also tried the Boudin balls, which exceeded my expectations with their delightful flavor combination. For my main course, I ordered the brisket and ribs, which were definitely the highlights of the meal. The Nashville hot chicken was incredibly juicy as well.
