Honsan Sushi Grill - Laguna Niguel

The rice in both rolls did not have the correct texture/ consistency for a sushi roll. Not sticky enough. Overall, did not meet my total expectations. .

Excellent sushi. Only complaint (which is minor) is that very little wasabi and ginger are given compared to others. We actually enjoy these and its barely enough for one person and this is our 3rd time ordering and its always this way for some reason.

This place never disappoints! Definitely my go to and always fresh.

This is my second time ordering here. I ordered again because I really liked the crispy rice spicy tuna, but regretted it, because just like the first order, the sashimi didnt seem to be great quality. I love sushi, but something tastes off with the raw fish from here. This might sound weird, but Ive heard multiple people say that sushi tastes less fishy than cooked fish and I agree. Sushi normally tastes so fresh that even a lot of people who dont like a strong fishy taste still like it. Well, the sushi from here DOES taste strongly fishy, which isnt really something Ive ever experienced with sushi before. Seems like maybe its not that fresh? But i dont know. I just know something tasted not great both times I ordered. Weirdly fishy. (And I dont even have a problem with fish, but this was a little off putting. Spicy tuna was ok since its mixed with sauce or whatever, but the nigiri, and fresh rolls with sashimi inside or on top, uh uh. I wont order here again... unless I reeeally crave that crispy rice thing lol. It is good! But hopefully I can find a similar one somewhere else where the fish tastes fresh.

Citrus Salmón roll was not fresh at all so gross I couldnt eat it. Chicken Teriyaki order was missing. 3 piece chicken tempura was fried last week, stale and old. Not sure what these cooks are thinking that people will not realize your eating bad old not fresh food!!! They just want your money. Will you got it. But you lost a customer! .
