The food was good, the queso chorizo fondido was terrific, and my Steak El Meson was very good and filling. They have a great inner courtyard seating, or seating more inside. Very nice atmosphere.
After a trip to touristy San Juan de los Lagos, we wanted traditional, good food. We decided to drive to nearby Lagos de Moreno and spotted this cute restaurant. Service was very attentive, and I had the BEST EVER Queso Fundido with Chorizo and Rajas Poblanas - I order this all over Mexico and the US. You MUST have it here too. Will be served with fresh, handmade tortillas and crisp french bread. Their Tortilla and Tlapeno soups were great. This is not a fancy place, but a good one for families and tourists, with reasonable prices. As you'll see from the picture, we spotted a nice dining interior. This Meson was once a hotel, and we ate in a room that was once the horse stables. Very traditional, colonial interior with antiques and photos of old San Luis Potosi from about 100 years ago. Enjoy!
La comida y el servicio son excelentes, especialmente el mesero amable, atento y servicial, que sin duda es una parte importante para disfrutar de una comida en este lugar. Mis felicitaciones para él.
El restaurante es muy agradable, el servicio es excelente y la comida estaba deliciosa (enchiladas suizas). ¡Si regreso a Lagos, volveré al mesón!
