Galo's - Lagos

The restaurant is quite unassuming. You may walk past. If you are looking for decent honest food at a fair price, eat here . They also do takeaway. First visit We had piri piri chicken it was lovely. 2nd visit I had sea bream, delicious. We were made very welcome by cheerful staff on both of our visits.

Friendly and attentive staff. Chicken peri peri is excellent. Very good prices. Best to book a table as can get very busy.

This place is a joke, the guy taking orders (Carlos) has been chancing his arm in Luz for many years. He couldn’t tell me how much my order would be as he only sold by the Kilo ! I asked him if no one ever got anything less than a kilo and he just shrugged his shoulders. Avoid this place and Carlos if you see him in Luz, he’s a waste of time and space.

We had takeaway chicken piri-piri and chips. The meal was cooked to order. The chicken was succulent and tender, and the chips were not greasy. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the price was good as well. Highly recommended.
