The Secret Chinese - Lagos

The food was amazing. Authentic, spicy, hot, delicious and sufficient. Only the waiting time was a bit odd. The first time we where there with a group of 8 people and no one else at the restaurant. Took them 1 hour to serve the food. Another time we where there only my husband and our son. No one else in the restaurant. Still took them 40 minutes. Just be ready to wait and you’ll enjoy great Chinese food.

Good food but general service wasn't good. Slow response to basically everything: getting our food after placing the order, no cold or even room temperature water, bill came in after minutes of requesting too.

It's a place of comfort, with lovely foreign dishes.... Even our normal food are prepared with style. It's a place for Families that loves responsible settings... To crown it all, their foods are affordable and wonderful.

The ambience of the place was okay, the food was really nice and affordable. I had a little problem when I was visiting for the first time. The gate was closed, I had to stand at the gate for more than 15 minutes before an outsider came to open the gate for me by putting his hand through the gates, there was no security around, and there was a worker inside the compound who was watching and didn't attempt to open the gate, didn't apologize or say a word, my friends who were coming to join me had the same problem, I had to stand up to go and open the gate for them Fr!!!!! It's not my house! why should I have to stand to at the gate clueless and also stand up to go and open the gate for my friends when they came in??? Why is there no security at the gate? Why are the workers so nonchalant? It was a public holiday (1st of January), I didn't expect they would be so nonchalant about holidays and people coming to eat I'm rating it okay because of the food and nothing more

Finding the location was easy, visited on 28-07-2019. Great location, not enough parking space for now, the deco was great and appealing. For first timers, to avoid same mistake I made, a large portion of rice can take 3/4 people and the medium can take 2. I had to go home with food and couldn't still finish it. Secret chinese.. I heard so much and didn't come short of expectation, the service was splendid, paid with pos, I wish I was explained better because I spent as much as 18k on a sitting. I would be coming back again but this time more prepared and a better budget.
