Calixtos Beach - Lagoa

Great restaurant. Nice food, staff and environment. A must visit when you're in the area. We visited at sunset and it was a perfect evening.

If you visit the Algarve without looking for Calixtos, you will miss an unforgettable experience. It is a small beach bar restaurant reminiscent of the one that overdeveloped you off the coast of Spain (especially) and Portugal (to a degree). We went twice. One night they offered blankets (the wind woke the plastic window covers). The sun had gone down and the waves in the dark were atmospheric. The food, especially the fish (of course) was wonderful. We have to mention that in previous visits in Portugal we are particularly happy to have mussels and pork that were not on the Calixtos menu. They offered to do it for us a few days later and it was great. prices are appropriate; the service personally and the ambience exceptional.

Family enjoyed lunch overlooking the beach in this excellent restaurant. Lovely ambiance and good selection of food.Service was excellent. We even managed to forget our belongings but returned later toCollect from the kind manager.Thoroughly recommend this hidden gem on the beach.
