The Original Patti - Lafayette

My wife was a big fan of the Ground Patti by the UL campus, and we usually passed by the other location in town. However, on this visit under new ownership, we were disappointed. The burgers were inedible, and none of the five of us could finish our meals. The waitress seemed completely unaware that our plates were still loaded with food. I'm sorry to say, but I wish I had better feedback to share. We'll definitely miss the old Ground Patti.

I visited this location for lunch for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted quickly and given the option to sit anywhere we liked. As is their custom, we were offered a small container of whole roasted peanuts to enjoy while we awaited our meal. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. My wife and I shared onion rings as an appetizer, which were delicious, especially with the accompanying sauce. Given that burgers are the highlight here, it was no surprise that we both ordered them. Our burgers were cooked perfectly to our preference and came with fresh, crispy fries. I highly recommend this place for a great burger and I look forward to returning.

These burgers are definitely not what Ground Patti used to offer. They were dry, small, and lacked the quality that Ground Patti is known for. I honestly thought I was eating a turkey burger. I hope the Ground Patti in Houma hasn't changed for the worse. However, I must say the service was excellent.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The experience here is definitely worth it—one of the must-visit burger spots in the city. The music sets a great atmosphere, and the food is fantastic. The giant potatoes are especially delicious! I’m planning to bring some friends next week.
