TGI FRIDAYS - Lafayette

I made this reservation 13 august for a party of ten after the purdue Christmas show on Sunday, 8 December. I got an email on Saturday 7 December from open table asking if I would still come to which I reacted. when we arrived on the Friday of tgi, they had no knowledge of our reservation and said open table does not work, whatever that means. they weren't busy and could put us quickly. we sat for a while before a waiter finally got our drinks orders. at this place we were ready to order both drinks and eat and went ahead and did so. the waiter seemed unorganized and slow, although the restaurant was not busy. when we finally got our food, it was not quite at the same time, but not too far away. once again, just somehow disorganized. eating was good, so don't complain. I just found it strange that I made this reservation in advance and they didn't know about it.

I think they were seriously understaffed, but our server only checked for us once and at the time when the check was, we waited almost 20 minutes.

Tonight was a catastrophe. ironically, our reservation made with this page did not work in the restaurant because their reservation system did not work. So they had a lobby full of people, with reservations, wondering what happened. the manager is good that we still sit fast. we ordered 3 entrees by sirloin steak and a chicken sandwich. the sandwich was brought out from some ground as an appetizer, while we waited about 20 minutes or so for the rest of the escaped. they came, but two steaks were well made and one was underboiled (except rare) though we all specified “medium”. also it was lukewarm and the plate was room temperature. only a stir got the brokkoli (they ran apparently) and they were not even cooked raw and heated. the rest of our party has never received all its sides. we sympathized with the server that was laboriously apologising, but the harm was done. that is no longer the Friday we have grown up with the last 20 years, that was a complete mistake.

The service was terrible from the beginning. restaurant was not busy at all. we were greeted and asked how many people...5 they continued their conversation that we were so rudely interrupted while we were eating menus and forking packed and then went to our table after ~2 minutes of them chatting before us. we sat without drinks or were greeted by our waiter for more ~10 minutes. during dinner we were only visited 2 times by our waiter (because we bring drinks and bring food once.) the lighting was terrible, the service was terrible, and the mood in the restaurant seemed a little tense. no pleasant eating.

The food was good and service was very attentive. We would return to this location again.
