Ordering was smooth and our food was promptly brought to our table. We each ordered different items and I also ordered something to go. Due to foot surgery, I was in a wheelchair, but the staff was accommodating. The food was both delicious and plentiful. However, there was an issue with the ice machine for coffee, so we had to find an alternative. The only issue we encountered was two employees who started the closing process while we were still eating and were very loud. It was distracting as they were standing next to each other by the coffee machines. Despite this, they assured us they were not rushing us. We plan to return to the restaurant before 2:30 pm to avoid this issue in the future.
The staff was not very friendly and the drink station and dining room could have used some cleaning. However, the bagels were delicious.
As a true New Yorker, I can confidently say that the next best thing to a New York bagel south of Delaware is what you'll find at this restaurant.
Authentic New York-style bagels can be found at this establishment in The Villages. I didn't try the vegan cream cheese option as I had Kite Hill at my grandmother's house, but it's nice to see it on the menu here. They also offer the choice of peanut butter or avocado as toppings for your bagel.
The bagels at this restaurant were fresh and delicious. They were a bit tough to cut on the first day, but that may have been my knife. I recommend trying out other bagel shops in Ocala to compare, but this one was definitely better than getting bagels from Sam's Club or BJ's Club.
