Absolutely incredible from the service to the food. Renee was an amazing server, laid back friendly personality. He picked up on our pace as diners. Didn't rush us or layer course right on top of us. Food came out at a steady pace. The apps were on point (octopus, artichokes and of course the meatballs) the salads were pretty good and the main course actually brought a tear to my eye, it was that good!! Get the braised short rib pasta with fresh horseradish. The crème brûlée was good nothing special but a nice ending
This little hidden gem did not disappoint. It was noisy but reminds me of a bustling Italian market. The food was delicious and the wine selection was wonderful. Service was fantastic.
My whole party was impressed with the meals provided. My boyfriend and I shared the largest meatball I ever saw it tasted a lot like my Mom's recipe with the right amount of cheese in it, but the sauce was a bit more spicy that I would like. One had the sausage stuffed banana peppers he is a big banana pepper fan and very particular how they are prepared. He loved them with their heat that kind of creeped up on him. He also had gnocchi Mulberry for dinner basically the same taste, but again he was in sausage and pepper heaven. The others had the grilled Roman artichokes, and loved them. Two of the guys ordered one of the specials, rigatoni with a meaty sauce one had his with mozzarella on top. They called it “the gravy,” which would irk my Italian aunts! (It's sugo! I tasted one without the cheese and the sauce there seemed less spicy so I was curious if it was the sauce or the meatball that was spicy when we ate our app. The sauce tasted just like my Mom's too that it made me wonder if we were related to the chef?!? I had the braised short rib agnolotti, which looked like a ravioli stuffed with short ribs, fontina cheese and mushrooms , and served with a beef reduction and cute little pioggini mushrooms. I had it with a glass of the house Montepulciano, which was d delicious with its dark cherry undertone and well balanced tannins. It paired well with my dinner, which was savory and had the perfect balance of herbs. Others ordered eggplant Parmesan, steak (our friend who is allergic to cheese? . Our waitress was attentive but not overly attentive, accommodating to our food needs (we're old and can't eat everything anymore sigh , and have a fun, bubbly personality. When she told us about the desserts, we wished we had known what they were before ordering dinner so we could have saved room for them! As it was, we all went home with to go containers of our dinners as the portions are quite large. We will definitely be returning!
Very good food. Large portions. Prices NOT exorbitant. On a Saturday 5pm noise was so high hard to carry on a conversation other then that everything was excellent. We will be back
