Chicken Chef Canada - Lac du Bonnet

The food is plentiful, and hot. Service at times is spotty, but overall the servers are very polite and nice. One of the better fried chicken recipes, not too salty

Ordered two medium pizzas and some fried chicken. the pizzas were ok. the chicken looked overcooked and as if it had been under a heat lamp for a long time. or perhaps their frier oil was very old and eeded to be changed. out pick up order did not contain plates, cutlery or napkins even though we originally asked for delivery to the hotel and said we were from out of town.

I get to the area 3 -4 times a year and alternated between chicken chef and drifters. For years I ordered the ribs advertised on the outside wall knowing they didn't have them. This time the sign was painted over so I was thinking improvement. I could not have been more wrong. I asked if I could get only white meat on the two piece snack. She said she could not guarantee it. I told I would need more time to find something else on the menu as I would not eat dark meat. She yelled to the back asking if I could have white meat only which I could. When she brought the meal she hurriedly put down the two plates and rushed off leaving my empty cup of coffee. We did not see her again and had to go to the till to pay. We will never go back.

We had a group of 30 for a late lunch & they were more than accommodating . Moving tables more than once & our meals arrived in a timely manner .

The food was good, the new lounge very nice. Great having a beer with my pizza. Service was better than other Chicken Chefs I've been to.
