Looking for a place to disconnect and relax with your family? Then, this is the right one. As being the first time, we just went for a beer and appetizers. Labelle beer was awesome. Quesadillas and wings were delicious. Kids had a chance to play in the kids’ area while the grown ups were having some conversations while watching the kids play. There’s beer for sale as well as souvenirs. Parking lot available. Lake view across the street to relax more.
This used to be excellent, but it is most of the way down the drain now. When it opened, Buckingham Farms provided the food service and it was superb. Covid lockdowns killed that. Now, the food is highly unpredictable, usually overpriced (recently jumped about 30% , service depends on who you get, the tableware always looks barely washed, your hands may stick to the salt shaker, and .... I guess you get the idea. I still go occasionally hoping for improvement, but it just gets worse. The architect did a great job, the parking lot has wide spaces, the brewers are skilled, and there are plenty of varieties on tap. However, many of the 16 oz glasses do not hold a full pint (at least two people have checked and their beer prices are the highest in town. If you get the right chef, the food can be quite good. It can also be absolutely awful. I ordered a side of onion rings and got exactly 5 rings so badly burned that the onion was incinerated. I think it cost $6.50 plus tax. There is a reason why the place is often nearly empty now. The Launch and the pretend Tiki bar next to it beside the boat ramps near the Labelle bridge have the same owner and same staff. At least they are cleaner, but I would not recommend them to anyone, especially since these do not have their own parking, so the spaces intended for trucks with boat trailers get blocked by drinkers and diners.
We stop here during our drive across state with our dogs and sit at big shaded patio in back. The food is good. We’ve had the Cuban and the chicken sandwich. Above average. The Brussel sprouts are a bit cheesy but the beer is great. Very nice local vibe and friendly servers. The inside is very clean and attractive.
We looked on their website and noticed the brewery was open until 8:00. We arrived at 7:30 excited to try the food and beers on tap. We were not greeted, and we found a waitress who told us the kitchen was closed early because the summer was not that busy. However, the restaurant was full, and another family behind us was wanting to eat as well. We will not be recommending this business. We are disappointed that this was our first experience. :
