This is one of those shameful self-indulgences Sometimes I just crave fast food fried chicken.

The worst, and I mean WORST, excuse for quality food and service we have ever experienced! Stopped for chicken and gizzards.

6 cars in drive through should have been a clue before I went to dine in.

Worst restaurant experience I ever had. by the app well ordered before the time, but had to wait 40 minutes for my order. the sides were wrong. the half of the chickens were tiny. the people were parked and came from the driveway because they wait 20 minutes. a lot of tension in the air. the guy who worked on the back threw a box over the kitchen because he was upset. kitchen was a chaos. I couldn't sit back.

Try the gizzards. I've always thought popeye had pretty good huh, but I've never tried the gizzards to date. these tend to have a limited time menu item that comes and goes, but they are now back. I have tried in half a dozen bars and restaurants in the city and most places have a pretty tasty version. the perfect gizzard is to my mind delicate, spicy and has a thin crispy coating. a bonus would be a opportunity to have a spicy gravy for a diving sauce. the tenderness seems to be the hardest part for most places. if they put gizzards right into the deep frit without cooking them for an hour, they tend to be rather hard and chew. today I had a box...read more
