Spooners - La Verne

The table service was excellent; they promptly refilled the rice and salad on my friend's dish and even let us try an entire order of chicken katsu. Any issues I had were because of my own ordering preferences. I do have one small complaint: there was a bit of cigarette smoke from outside that drifted into the restaurant. However, once my food arrived, the wonderful aroma completely overshadowed it. Oh, and they have Hi-Chews available at the entrance! The prices are good, and the food is incredibly clean and tasty.

The food is delicious and reasonably priced, with excellent customer service and a relaxed atmosphere. It's perfect for dining in or taking out. They offer a nice variety of dishes, including ramen, fried rice, bibimbap, drinks, and more. The quality and service are consistently good.

The owners and waitstaff are incredibly friendly, and the Korean dishes appear to be authentic and well-prepared. You can definitely count on their hot-stone bibimbap to be good. However, this restaurant differs from most Korean eateries in a few ways: (1) they do not serve banchan (side dishes); (2) the menu features an abundance of non-Korean and Korean-Western fusion dishes; and (3) the prices are somewhat high, especially when compared to Korean restaurants in areas like Downtown LA, Rowland Heights, or Buena Park.

The food was delicious!!! And our server provided the best service we have gotten in a long time. Definitely will be returning.

So wonderfully surprised. Craving Korean and this place came up. Spooners is not your usual Korean restaurant name, so can't be too surprised that I was surprised : We'll gave them a shot and happy I did. Tried four different dishes because I just couldn't decide and was starving. All really good and all worth trying again. Only issue is that they had so many other dishes I wanted to try. Kalbi delish. Thought the amount of meat was a bit light for the price, but it was really really good. Pork belly One of my faves and not something I can eat often unless at AYCE KBBQ, so this was a treat. Came with all the fixings too. Definitely reorder item for me. Yukgaejang or spicy beef soup another definite reorder. Well seasoned and tasty. Really hit the spot on a cold night. Jjajangmyun black bean noodles. Another wonderful surprise. This is a dish usually found at Korean/Chinese specialty restaurants. It was spot on. Everything was packed well for delivery and came with enough side dishes. Would have like more kimchi, but can ask for that next time.
