Good camping in the whole but not too much animation the inflatable castle burning children cannot slip and forbidden water on, free jaccuzzi outdoor but closed ( tranquility
Hello, we were there with the tent. If you are in the front rows, you have a great view of the Dune du Pilat and the Atlantic. You can watch a beautiful sunset there. Unfortunately there was a fire there in 2022. I was there with my family a few years ago and it looked completely different. Unfortunately, the pines no longer have any needles and offer no shade. We still decided to go to this campsite because the staff is very friendly and you simply have the best view. The sanitary facilities are super clean and cleaning takes place around the clock. It also has a small shop and it offers very tasty croissants. And you can also eat pizza there.
On the recommendation of a family environment, we went to the Panorama du Pyla campsite and spent a total of 7 days there. The reopening was 3 weeks ago after the campsite was completely destroyed by a wall fire a year ago in the summer of 2022. So you shouldn't expect greetings from treetops after this tragedy. Currently there are only parking spaces for mobile homes, caravans, vans and camping. The popular camping containers are currently not available, but another purchase is planned for 2024. We were there in a VW camping van. We didn't have a reservation. The staff was incredibly friendly and tried to fulfill all wishes. The check-in was completely uncomplicated, after which the parking spaces were presented with the pitch instructions. We got a beautifully located pitch with a sea view. If we didn't like it, we could have had other parking spaces shown to us. The power supply for the parking space was nearby. There were also two well-equipped sanitary facilities within a maximum walking distance of 100 m. Both were new and clean. Regular cleaning took place. Toilet paper is available. As is typical for campsites in France, but without a toilet seat. There is a small supermarket where you can get the essentials at fair prices. You also get fresh (chocolate croissants and baguettes every day. Since the restaurant was completely burned down in the wall fire, there is currently a somewhat provisionally built but very lovingly designed pizza and cocktail restaurant in the same location with the best view of the Atlantic and the dune. The pizza was tasty, even though I've had better pizzas, but you definitely can't go wrong here. At €10 for a Margherita it's also a fair price. Aperol Spritz also €10 and definitely recommended. There was also a changing food truck every day with very different offers such as burgers, fries, paella and even oysters. However, the vegetarian offering can clearly be expanded. In times of Beyond Meat and co, you should actually expect a vegetarian burger. As far as leisure activities are concerned, we regularly used the pool. There are two different pools, one of which is approx. 20 m long and is ideal for swimming laps. At 9 in the morning you are pretty much alone. There is aqua morning gymnastics at 9:30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There is also a good range of activities suitable for small children. Other leisure activities: billiards table, mini golf, tennis court, which can also be used as a football or basketball court. The big highlight at the campsite was definitely the paragliding tandem flight. 15 minutes cost €70. Yes, it's not cheap, but all the material including helmet etc. is provided and due to the amount of sand, the sails and seats also show a certain amount of wear. Our pilot spoke very good English, was super friendly and was a bit exaggerated in our opinion. It was a unique experience and can only be recommended! The campsite has direct access to the beach. The beach is also quite exclusive for the guests of the campsite due to its location. The climb is quite strenuous, but running down the dune is extra fun : Last year's forest fire definitely left its mark. We still had an unforgettable holiday, which is mainly thanks to the great staff. It's crazy how much everything has been rebuilt in such a short time. There was always a smile and kind words. We felt very comfortable and would like to thank you very much for the great holiday! We will be happy to come back and are excited to see how the campsite will continue to change. We would just like to see an improvement in the vegetarian food offering. The campsite and especially the staff deserve 5 stars!
Despite the tragedy of the top fire and top team, don't change anything, continue
