Couldn't praise this restaurant enough, our hotel telephoned this restaurant five minutes before they were due to close and ask if they stay open so we could have a meal there. The food was really nice and tasty, genorous portions, the staff were very polite and couldn't do enough for us.
Read previous reviews and thought we would give it a try.really glad we did service and hospitality was second to none our waiter was very helpful and his english was better than our french which is not difficult.but he made the ordering process simple and easy. The food was very good tasty and plentiful. A really good evening. Would very highly reccomend a visit.
Just across from the Kyriad Hotel the best place to eat in this part of town. Small, clean very welcoming with great food both great meaning 'good ' great meaning 'large on portions '.
It was really the weather that made us visit Feet Under The Table and it was a stroke of good luck. Like several people on here, we were staying at the Kyriad and this place is right next door; the rain was coming down in buckets so the decision was an easy one. The restaurant is classic French with checked table cloths and the walls adorned with pictures of the national film stars and singers. We were the first in as it had just opened but our welcome was warm and friendly. There was a steady flow of customers (not bad for a wet Wednesday), many of them on their own who I guess we 're hotel guests on business. We just went for main courses which were so big we just couldn 't finish them. My steak done with cheese, toast and marmalade was great quality but was on the rare side for me even though it was ordered medium. The quality of the meat meant I still enjoyed it but just one to be aware of. Our other dish was confit duck and it was excellent, very plentiful and in a delicious framboise sauce. The wine list is reassuringly short with just good value, high quality wines on it. Location means it 's unlikely to get customers staying in the Old Port area but, if you 're in the Kyriad or Ibis, this makes a good value choice indeed.
