Fresh produce cooked exceptionally well - good portion sizes so great value for money - very friendly service - so good I went back again during my stay - amazed its not full all the time

The food was very good, good presentation and delightful flavor mixes. Very nice and joyful people, welcoming atmosphere. Recommend it !

We have chosen this restaurant because it features seasonal, traditional french cooking. the locality is nice, with an open kitchen. The service is friendly and always present. the food was excellent. a three course meal with a baskian wine recommendation came for about €95, which was reasonable compared to the more touristic places at the harbour.we can definitely recommend this restaurant.

Superb original cooking, largely influenced by Basque and south western French flavours and styles, our meal here was an unexpected highlight in La Rochelle. We were very surprised at how quiet it was, only 3 other tables occupied on a Saturday night and wondered whether its location north of the market meant only canny locals know its whereabouts. We drank excellent glasses of a range of Basque and Landes wines (dessert, white and red) with our courses of foie gras terrine, which was meaty and satisfying, crab "tiramisu" with croutons and iceberg lettuce in beautiful sauce, outstanding pork filet mignon and Basque style burger with pimento and cheese and fabulous chips. The female chef prepared everything on her own, with the male host waiting and managing wine suggestions. They provided delicious amuse bouche of smoked haddock with horseradish on rounds of lightly toasted bread and digestifs of plum liqueur (also a Basque speciality) on the house. Three courses and around a bottle's worth of wine for two set us back around 90 euros, which for cooking of this quality and originality in such pleasant modern surroundings and such a welcoming atmosphere, we thought was very good indeed. Highly recommended.

Lovely meal here on last night of our recent holiday. Close to our apartment and away from main tourist restaurants ( all other diners were French) . Fresh food and excellent service.
