Captain Houblon Craft Beer's

Had an amazing, impromptu night here on our chest in the north... and what an evening it was!! Excellent selection of beers, a PS2, Mega Drive and SNES set up with games and great music!! Thank you Captain Houblon and thank La Rochelle for welcoming us British!!

A hidden gem near the village centre. A great concept that combines rare found beers with great snacks (Planche Mixte for two could easily feed three people, all very delicious local products), attentive service and asks ambience. Since it was not enough, you can play tons of board games or even a playstation.

Beautiful small bar with many chilled craft beer in bottles. The staff was very friendly and helpful, spoke English well. Large laundry and other snacks available.

Great beer bar with knowledgeable staff and loads of local beers. I was expecting more beers on tap (the they only have three taps for now) but the beer fridge made up for it. The atmosphere here is super relaxed, it's mega kid friendly with loads of board games. There are even couches with a bunch of retro consoles for peeps to play on. We didn't try Andy of the small plates but the food looked good and local. My only recommendation would be to have a bit more choice of soft drinks to keep the wife and kids happy. A few seats outside and the chill crowd make this a great spot for beer geeks and for anyone who wants to sample the more local flavours of La Rochelle.
