Ernie's Grill - La Quinta

We haven't been here since before COVID closures. Many things have changed. The service was very slow and the server seemed very abrupt. The food was absolutely terrible. Each Appt/Meal at our table was just a mistake. The oil for cooking fried foods such as fish and chips and wings was rough. Had a disgusting taste and was very fat. The Cesar salad smelled so fishy that nobody could stand the smell at the table. The taste was the same. The crumbs tasted as if they were cooked in the same oil as fried food. Greasy and soggy. The worst Cesar salad we've ever had. Too many other great places. Don't waste your time here.

Food and service were top notch! What a jewel. Some of the best food I had in the desert. A must go.

My wife and I went to Ernie today for an afternoon dinner with our friends, who we all live in La Quinta, we were very disappointed with the quality of food. This was not our first visit, so we were surprised how the food went downhill the server that helped us was excellent, so I want to make sure that my review is just about the food. For the four of us the bill was over $120? So would you expect a good meal? My wife ordered fish tacos that, when we were delivered, we were surprised that it consisted of two small tacos and a small bowl of black beans when my wife took up the first fish taco, the tortilla fell apart in her hands and she asked for broken fish and they came unbroken the server was called and they made the tacos and the tortillas fell apart in their hands. I ordered the turkey club as I had it before and remembered that I liked it. Today it was served and it was completely different from the last time much smaller and tasted completely different the quality of the bread was not the same I asked for bacon and did not get any bacon? Our friends ordered burgers and they said they were so good the last time? $120 and we were so disappointed? No wonder there were so many empty tables I know? s off-season, but if you want to calculate $120 for 4 people, do you need to say it up unnecessary, we will look elsewhere for lunch? a beautiful location with the golf course around, but who is responsible must know that it was very disappointing

Our new place in La Quinta. In the middle of PGA West, this restaurant in the clubhouse has a beautiful casual atmosphere. You don't have to dress like a few clubs. They have a good selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches and even tacos. If it is cool enough, we sit on the terrace and watch the golfers. Inside they have a lot of stands some with beautiful views of the green and a huge open square bar for seating. The tomatoes, mozzarella and avocado salad were enormously good. We had the meat lovers Flatbread who tasted from this world with their hickory smoked bacon. We'll be back soon.
