Le Joli Bois - La Plagne Tarentaise

Great burgers on our first day. Huge great things. Very tasty. Only downside was one dish arrived late. But service was good otherwise. Returned later in the week for hot choc crepe mid afternoon.

Called here for a quick bite whilst the legs eased, during a February Ski trip. We had 'Plat Du Jour ' and a bowl of soup, a beer and a coffee. The soup was fine but my son in law 's meal looked awfully strange with purple veg though in fairness, he did say it was fine, and it was all scoffed without too much trouble. As mountain restaurants go, it was OK, though at about £32, the price is ridiculous. and apart from a half decent view over the lower valley, there is little to commend this place to any passing skiers. I have no doubt that the prices reflect its proximity to the Vanoise Express which takes you to Les Arcs, but in fairness, if you are going across this superb gondola, just save your appetite for the restaurant immediately at the LH side of the exit station where you can get a hearty burger, fries and drink of your choice for 11Euro (Say £8.50) and the surrounds are so much better. Not many positives at the Joli Bois and far too expensive!!

Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Not posh, but warm atmosphere. Not crowded. Good hot wine. Recommend for visit!

Located right next to the Vanoise Express cable car, we stopped a few times mid ski run for hot drinks and snacks. Prices similar to most places, overall was fine, nothing bad nothing great.

Plat du jour, snack et menu à la carte. Très bien placé en sortie du valoise express et en bord de pistes.Accueil très agréable, terrasse ensoleillée grande salle intérieur...
