Claim Jumper - La Mesa

The portion sizes at this restaurant are generous, easily enough to share among three people. Let's be honest, though, we all enjoy indulging in large portions every now and then. My husband and I split the chicken pot pie and it was fantastic. It had been a long time since my last visit, but it was a great choice for my friend's birthday party.

I visited this restaurant for happy hour. The happy hour menu is limited, but I have to say, the burger was incredible!!! I highly recommend trying the burger, which I believe is only available during happy hour. Chef Michael Mina personally came out to our table, and we thanked him for the delicious food. He also suggested trying the premium steaks and a special steak that is not listed on the menu. Unfortunately, I cannot reveal what that special steak is. You will have to go there and ask him yourself. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

I have to give Claim Jumpers a big thank you for how they treat the Vets on Veterans Day. A great meal, great service and eager for the day. I ended up also getting desert, which was way more than I could eat, but my kids enjoyed the butter cake when I got home. The Meatloaf dinner was so delicious as well. Thank you again and I will continue to bring my family here outside of Veterans Day.

This place is fantastic!! The food was incredible and the service was perfect. We sat in the lounge and Katie was our server. She was so sweet and informative. We asked for recommendations and the items she picked for us were so good! A+ for Katie Bourbon Steak!

We had the best date night at the La Mesa Claim Jumper. The server, Alberto was absolutely fabulous!!! He was very attentive and a lot of fun. I would definitely request him next time. The food and beer were perfection!! And the manager Chloe was sweet and amazing!!! Thank you guys for your amazing service!!!!
