The Shack Grill - La Jolla

The prawn tacos are the best. So delicious and fresh. Two nights in a row. At night, Marissa served us. Wonderful service. Next night was a young guy, but he was off with the fairies. Great place!!!

If you want a relaxed place, near the beach, where you can grab a beer and play a pool. This will be your jam. You have a happy hour of 3-7. You have a large terrace and a dog menu. There's really nothing I don't like in this place.

ANNEX update : The buyers were great. Chocolate Shakes is not available for unknown reason, but the chocolate Custard was refreshing on this warm day in SD. It can still be difficult to place your order. Sunday 03/20/2022 at 12:30 am I had the Bourbon Glazed Bacon Burger for lunch. Only food I had eaten when I skipped breakfast. End result: More than 6 hours later from food poisoning. I do not regret mentioning an earlier contribution, food poisoning. The Health Department must investigate food treatment in this place. Be careful!

Fish tacos were really good. Big pieces, golden brown and delish!! Mule was pretty good too!

I love a good dive bar and this does not miss with lots of TV's, pool and music. Service is a bit on the slow side as the bartenders seem to focus more on chatting behind the bar than serving. Other then that, it is a great dive bar in the La Jolla area which is hard to come by with surprisingly good food (good food not usually found at a dives). If the service was a little quicker, this would be my go to spot in La Jolla and get 5 stars.
