Clay Oven Indian Cuisine - La Jolla

This is some of the best Indian food I've had in a long time. I would suggest informing them of your desired spice level when placing your order. Unfortunately, there wasn't an option for that when I ordered through Uber Eats, and it turned out to be quite spicy, but I still loved it!

Great spot for Indian cuisine! We had a lovely experience as a group of five. The wait was a bit lengthy, but it was definitely worth it since you can tell you're getting authentic food.

We ordered through DoorDash and had to wait 40 minutes, only to find out that our order had been accidentally given to someone else. When we arrived, the staff tried to reach the other customer for 10 minutes before finally offering to remake our meal, which would take another 20 minutes. Unfortunately, we had a young baby with us and couldn’t wait any longer, so we ended up without dinner and no time to grab something else. While I understand that mistakes happen, the situation wasn't handled very well. Additionally, we visited the day before and were told they were closed for a break, even though their posted hours on the door and Google didn’t indicate that they would be closed. The food may be good, but we’ll never find out.

Food was on point and so so so delicious. Quantity was very filling. Loved every Bite.

The food here is really mouthwatering with Smokey coal flavor and buttery smooth sauce. The spicy level according to Indian standards is not that spicy in spite giving a significant spice level. The naan was flaky and fresh. The rice was fully cooked and was good with the sauce. The quantity is good for the price. The price to quantity ratio is good.The seating area is cozy but overall I really loved the food here.
