Forgot our garlic knots then gave us attitude when asking for them. We got the knots they were cold and not cooked. Gave us attitude again about the food. Didn’t have solutions to fix it just got upset. Manager needs to be involved because the workers have no customer service at all. I expect response from the store and to see some sort of action done.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The staff seemed miserable, as if they all hated their jobs. Additionally, the garlic knots were doughy and undercooked, while the pizza was average at best. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who isn't a drunk college student.
Got food poisoning from under cooked pizza and had shared the pizza with a poor homeless guy and some unfortunate woman who had asked for a slice; I 'm not sure what happened for them. (Story of that below. A sad note yet possibly entertaining, I had ordered the pizza at 11:35 ish PM on a Saturday night during the big dart tournament 5/18/2024 so the place was packed. I went outside to eat on a bench and just enjoy the night life and buzz of all the people walking around at midnight ish eating my pizza. The pizza tasted under cooked but I had missed dinner and was starving. A homeless guy asked for some change and I told him I didn 't have any. He then asked me if I had some food. There I am eating my pizza with a big 20 inch box on my lap. (Plan was to take slices to work over the next couple days. Obviously I couldn 't say Nope... I don 't have any food. with food chompping away in my mouth and on my lap. So I give him a slice and he wandered around and then asked to sit next to me. I say sure. He starts eating the slice. I eat another disappointing slice and then another. The homeless guy asks for another and I give it to him since the pizza was very disappointing and not feeling right in my stomach and I 'm not sure I want to eat it tomorrow because I am kinda just disgusted with it. I head to my car. On the way to my car a woman says something like Oh he 's got the pizza! and asks for a slice. I tell her it 's pepperoni and pineapple and she says she 'd love a slice. I give her a slice and head for home. I get home around 1:30 am. I pass out. I wake up roughly 2 hours later at 3:30 am with intense abdominal pain and cramps. I try and fall back to sleep and then another blast of pain hits me so strong I roll out of bed instantly and am on my feet wondering what is going on. My brain is starting to wake up and I realize I gotta get to a toilet before it 's too late. I race to the bathroom and realize I have food poisoning and begin to poop my guts out. Glory be to all that is mighty. Talk about a colon cleanse! I think I lost 5, maybe 7 pounds. IDK. Maybe that 's way too much weight but I 'm pretty sure there was nothing left in my guts. While I wait a bit longer on the toilet to make sure there 's no plague left to spew forth from me, I remembered the poor homeless guy and the woman who had wanted slices/slice of my pizza. Did they suffer the same fate that I had? I kinda want to go down town tomorrow and see if I run into them and see if they suffered the same fate. I called the next day and the manager said he was going to give me a refund. Happened to go back 6 days later (5/24/2024 and asked if he had approved the refund request I sent. Said he denied it because I had lied and then he yelled at me and told me to never come back. Said I had been stealing pizza for years! LOL! Like what? How many other people are calling in and asking for refunds because of food poisoning? I 've been going to this place for 13 years and got yelled at, called a lair, was told to never come back, and was told I had been stealing pizza for years! I 've never got a refund from them and this would have been my first. Anyway, done going here. Hope you enjoyed my unfortunate experience. If I go down town tomorrow and I run into the two people I shared the pizza with I 'll give and update and if they suffered the same fate as me I 'll have them go let the Polito people know because maybe they 'll believe them?
Pizza was under cooked and gave me food poisoning and possibly a homeless guy and another woman. Story below! I originally ordered a 20 inch pizza with pepperoni and pineapple from the website. I ordered the 20 inch for myself so I could take some slices to work over the next couple days to eat for lunch. It said their signature pizza sauce was $2.00 , BBQ sauce was 2 dollars, other sauces 2 dollars, but apparently that is for extra sauce. There was no option to have a pizza without sauce, which is the way I like it, so I thought the default was no sauce since the signature sauce, BBQ sauce, and all the other sauces would each cost 2 dollars. I tried to call and talk with a person on my way there to make sure they didn 't put sauce on it but the phone was always busy/off the hook. When I got there I saw them making my pizza and asked if they put sauce on it. They said they had and I told them I wanted it without sauce and if they could remake it since I thought it came without sauce since it said sauce costs 2 dollars. They gave me an annoyed look and told me All pizza 's come with sauce. but said they would. I 'm not sure why it 's a big deal when they can just put the pizza out for the public pizza by the slice stuff and they still had over 2 hours left on the Saturday night/Sunday morning and the main flood of people comes between 1 and 2:30 am. The new pizza was done very quickly and I should have probably asked them to put it in longer since it didn 't appear to be fully cooked and uncooked flower can contain E. coli and other stuff... not to mention the restaurant isn 't very clean, they don 't wear hair or beard nets, and the time I was there before the male bathroom was out of soap so I 'm not sure if the employees were even washing their hands with soap or if the soap dispenser had been replenished. So possible germ town. Well I figured they 'd just get more annoyed if I asked them to put it back in and so I left without asking thinking they wouldn 't give me an under cooked pizza. Well I went to a bench about 100 yards away and sat down to eat my first slice of pizza at about 11:45 pm on Saturday night. It felt and tasted under cooked but I figured once again they wouldn 't give me under cooked pizza and just ate it since I hadn 't ate dinner that night and was pretty darn hungry. The pizza tasted a bit luke warm, the pepperonis especially, and it also had a too soft doughy feel too it. But hunger is the best spice and I kept eating. A homeless guy asked me for some spare change and I told him I didn 't have any, he then asked me for food. Obviously I had some with a slice of pizza in my hand and a giant 20 inch box of pizza. I gave him a slice and he wandered off for a bit then came back and asked if he could sit next to me. I said sure. He ate the slice. I ate two more slices in this time despite my better judgement but I was hungry. The homeless man asked for another slice. I wanted to save it for work but something wasn 't feeling right with how the pizza tasted and how it was sitting in my stomach so I gave him another slice since I was kinda feeling grossed out by the pizza at this moment. Out of the 8 slices I had ate 3 and given the homeless man 2. I said goodbye to the homeless man and left and on the way to my car there was a woman who was snapping her fingers and saying loudly Ohhhh he 's got the pizza! I said Yep. She then said Can I have a slice? I told her the toppings and that it didn 't have any sauce and she said she still wanted a piece so I gave her one. This was kinda perfect since now I had 2 slices for work which is a good meal. I got home at around 1:20ish am and wasn 't feeling well. I woke up at 3:30 with incredible pain in my stomach. I tried to fall back to sleep and then the pain shot me onto my feet. I realized I needed to get to the bathroom. Realized I had food poisoning from the pizza. On the pot I couldn 't help but think of the poor homeless guy and the woman who I had shared a slice with. I know the homeless guy ate one slice for sure and I never saw if the woman ate hers. Needless to say my guts emptied into the toilet. I called the next day and talked with the manager. I told him I got food poisoning from the 20 inch pizza I had ordered last night at roughly 11:35 ish pm. He asked me if it was the pepperoni and pineapple pizza with no sauce. I told him that was the one. He said Then why did you say it was a cheese pizza? I told him I never said that. He said Yes you did! I said I don 't recall ever saying that, but if I did I apologize, it was a pepperoni and pineapple pizza and I could send him pictures of the left overs if he wanted to see it. He asked where I ordered it from and I said the preferred online method. He asked if it was door dash. I just told him what ever the preferred one was. He said it was door dash and he would get me the refund. Well I never saw the refund when through so I contacted PayPal and asked for the refund. I happened to go back to the pizza place today because my sister graduated and wanted to eat there. I asked if the guy remembered me and asked if he had approved the PayPal refund, he said he denied it. I asked why and he got angry and raised his voice and said because your story didn 't add up you said you got a cheese pizza . I told him I never said that, that he misheard me. He said I had been stealing pizza from this place for years! I told him No I haven 't! which made me think other people had been calling in about food poisoning and wanting refunds which is hilarious! He yelled at me and said Get out and never come back! LOL like what? What kind of customer service is this. I offered to bring the pizza in and he could eat it and see if he gets food poisoning from it. He said It doesn 't have sauce on it. I then said Well you can put some on it! He told me to LEAVE! lol. Anyway, I 've been going to this place for over 13 years. In those 13 years there were two other problems. One when they didn 't put the right pizza by the slices in the box. The guy said what was in the box, and that was me, but what they put in the box was different and I didn 't check since the guy had just said what was in it! I got home and found the error. The other time I also got food poisoning just from ordering a single slice... Although the pizza looked like it had been there since last night before and it was 3 pm the next day so when I saw the state of the pizza and how it looked I should have just left. Neither of those times was I refunded though. Oh, did I mention I had sometimes been tipping cash or tipping in the receipt spot these past 13 years? And I even tipped the day they made me the pepperoni and pineapple pizza. (Cash not on the PayPal. Anyway, that was the story. Hope you got a laugh and try some of the other pizza places in the area.
