Buzzard Billys Flying Carp Cafe

Buzzard Billy's came recommended by the bartender at Pearl Street Brewery just up the road and boy did she know what she was talking about! From the time we walked in the door to the time we walked back out the door, the experience was top notch! Service was genuine, friendly and welcoming and the food was out of this world delicious!! Hubby had the Cajun Combo with the addition of dirty rice and he was blown away by all the flavors and portions! We've been to Louisiana and didn't have food this good, these folks totally know what they're doing! I had the Ca C'est Bon (Saw-Say-Bon) and I swear it was the best meal I've ever had in my life! The Cajun catfish is phenomenal and the sauce that the fried potatoes soak in is worthy of awards! The bread is a slice of heaven, all buttery and crunchy, fresh and soft but that corn... wow... what's with that corn... so good!! There are two other locations of Buzzard Billy's, both on our travel map journey if we're ever in the area. I sure hope we get back to this location some day because I will forever crave this meal!

Just love their Cajun food. In town for three nights and came here all three nights. The Cajun combo covers all the bases with jambalaya, gumbo, and blackened catfish. Outstanding! Bread pudding was incredible too! Upstairs is the Starlite Lounge, a low-key cocktail lounge with great martinis and occasional live jazz. Great way to start or end the evening!

Good food and atmosphere. Visited this restaurant twice in the same week while on a work trip in La Crosse. The first visit got the crab creole soup and fried chicken tenders and the second time got the same soup and blackened salmon. The soup is very delicious. The chicken tenders were good with barbaque sauce. Really liked the blackened salmon it was delicious.

Our waiter was very attentive and helpful! He answered all of the questions we had about the menu and gave great service. The food was also great and came out right away. I would recommend sharing because the portions are rather big.

This was our first time stopping in. The food was absolutely amazing and even more than the food was our waitress Taylor. She was incredible. She knew that menu inside and out and gave us suggestions and recommendations of food. And she was spot on. Thank you for such a great time and great food and we will definitely be back.
