French Corner Carlsbad Village

It looks like a quite little corner cafe.... perhaps serving something especially tasty. It really was a disappointment. It was around 8am when we stopped in. Not crowded.You order at the counter. The food portions are small...and fairly costly for what you get. My Breakfast Frittata was small, almost tasteless..,kind of cold, had an unappealing texture and I couldn 't find the bacon that was supposed to be in the meal....all for $13. The 'greens ' added very little.I was still hungry. Add to fact that those few other diners were all talking on thier phones ...made the experience less than relaxing.

Cutest lil brunch spot for a quick bite to eat. Always on the search for a new chicken salad sandwich to try and The Le Poulet exceeded all my expectations! They also have mimosas ?

Visited French Corner for breakfast last week. A good cup of coffee is hard to find so we happily went back to French Corner all 4 mornings. The breakfast sandwich, omelette and crepes were all variations of the same and all very good. Place is charming and the service is excellent.Tip: The french toast was our only disappointment. Stick with anything else.

First time customers.Both my fianceé and I enjoyed our meal! My crepe was DELICIOUS!!Staff is super friendly.Next time we are in Carlsbad, we will definitely come here for a delicious meal.

I only gave four overall because some of the prices have gone up too much. I got a small 2 x 4 oat type bar with fruit and it was $7 which seemed extreme. Otherwise, I always love the coffee here, the crepes and salad, the quiches, and the croissants. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. One of my favorite breakfast places!
