L'Eden Beach - La Baule-Escoublac

Very disappointing experience, we left about €400 for the meals. The food is nothing special, the service is terrible, we waited over one hour for the main, the bill was wrong. We were almost treated as thieves because we reviewed the bill for mistakes. The service is very junior, with no smile, people don't remember what your ordered and the food is overpriced. This is a typical sucker's 5* restaurant: make yourself a big favor and go somewhere else! This is really not worth the money

Michelin is very positive and we had a lot of expectations. The fish is fresh andthat is all we can say. Nothing spectaculair and they get to much honour.

Very disappointed as the restaurant was not up to standards expected from the hotel. Waiters were not coordinated, the fish soup not warm, the meat not cooked to our wishes. It is the first restaurant I have been to where they didn’t have dedicated glasses for red wine

The menu was varied but we went for the crab to start with which we didn’t enjoy mainly because it contained brown meat. No fault of restaurant just our bad choice. We both enjoyed our main course with my wife having the sole and I had cuttlefish. Our preferred dress was not available sadly being the Baked Alaska.

We ate here for 2 of the evenings that we stayed at the hotel. The first evening we sat on a high table opposite the bar and near the kitchen not the best position. We went into the restaurant to reserve a table for another evening, to ask for a different table by the windows. The manager was superb very helpful and apologetic that all the tables were already booked and suggested the best table he had available. We mentioned that it was going to be our wedding anniversary. Thanks to him, we found a fabulous bottle of champagne in our room to wish us a happy anniversary we were so happy! Our second evening in the restaurant was FABULOUS we had the salt baked seabass WOW! We love the buzz and atmosphere of the restaurant, the service is good (although a little rushed on our first evening so we asked to wait to order our dessert on the second evening) All the food we had was presented beautifully and was delicious. The price is on the high side, generally worth it but it adds up! We cant wait to eat there again on our next visit in June cant wait to sit on the terrasse by the beach.
