I can't wait to come back and try more dishes. P.S. I came back after Japan reopened its borders and it was fully booked. Reservations are a must! You can book a table through Instagram.
The food was delicious, with a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian options alongside other dishes. Miho-san was a fantastic host and we had a lovely time. I just wish HappyCow would allow me to give it a 5-star rating despite not being a fully vegetarian/vegan restaurant.
The owner, Miho-san, is a great conversationalist and cook. All of the vegan dishes are created by them. I wish there were more izakaya restaurants like this in Tokyo where both vegans and non-vegans can share and enjoy the experience.
My friend and I visited the restaurant and both opted for the vegan set menu. We found all the dishes to be delicious and expertly prepared, making it one of the best vegan Japanese meals we've had. The only suggestion we have is to also offer individual dishes rather than just the 5000yen set menu, as it can be quite pricey for some customers.
This charming and intimate izakaya offers a variety of delicious vegetarian dishes and is run by a charismatic and humorous hostess. I visited after a recommendation from a friend and would highly recommend it for a dinner spot in Kyoto!
