Maharaja - Kyoto

My vegetarian curry and cheese-sugar (ordered separately) were delicious. they also had some Indian beer to try what was also a plus. vegetarian side marked clearly on the menu. service was efficient, but not excessively friendly, which was good for me, as I myself was on the phone. one of the other employees was chatting with another table, but so they don't think completely unfriendly. I would recommend to those in the area of gion looking for vegetarian food or Indian food.

Visited this restaurant from convenience, while exploring gion and was a little concerned about the reviews. to my surprise were both the Spinat-Kartoffel-Curry and the other curry we had, both delicious and the rice pleasant. a very limited menu (4 options) but was happy with the result.

The food was ok, nothing great, especially for the price, but the personal was not entirely clear of what vegan meant; they knew that we could not eat milk, but then brought us a side of huh! the location is the best on this place as it is in the gion area. I can't say we'd go back, but if they're in a hurry, it's okay.

We had a curry here and it was very nice. the personal is friendly and leads us to the vegan options.

The food is not as nice as it looks, the dahl has too much water and the naan is not vegan so I just ate something like a lentil soup with rice. The staff was nice.
