I met a friend here for lunch and ordered the Eggplant lasagne. It arrived quickly, was well presented and full of flavour! The brownie and coffee I ordered for desert were beautiful and the brownie probably the best I've ever tasted
Beautiful, generous food made with love.. The selection in Shop Ate is unbeatable, they cater for the vegetarians, the gluten-intolerant, the blokey blokes and the kids. I had a delicious warm quinoa and moroccan spiced chicken salad with pomegranate, cauliflower, eggplant and spiced greek yoghurt, it was ridiculously good. My partner ate the aptly named 'blokes pasta ' a hearty, meaty, warming rigatoni with Italian chorizo, chilli and some kind of incredible tomato based sauce. You can just tell how talented the kitchen is by the mix of interesting, both modern and traditional, delicious dishes they bring out. New favourite!
Love it!. This is one of my favourite places to eat, the food is superb and the coffee spot on. The thing that always gets me every time is just how fresh the produce is.... it is SO obviously made with love! Today I had a brown rice salad with succulent marinated chicken pieces, cauliflower, kale, with gorgeous middle eastern flavours... currants and a sprinkling of dukkah YUMO ... oh and a little yoghurt dressing on the side. It is such a warm and cosy atmosphere and the staff couldn't be more accommodating or friendly! Tip off... the cake cabinet is out of this world... it changes all the time... it is hard to resist! Thanks Guy for making Mt Eliza such a special place to visit..It is an absolute joy to eat here.
I definitely will go back ! I had a great breakie there and would love to sample many other dishes and baked items on display !!! Staff were friendly and accomadating !!!
