Roast’d Chinese Bbq And Duck

The coconut butter prawns were delicious. This place never disappoints.

Most of the dishes are acceptable but some fairly average. Chinese food too. Not balanced and too much heat. Not enough vegetable. Kind of stingy in some areas. Good fried Peking Fried Rice but not consistent with all their dishes. Sweet Sour Pork in Batter is average and stingy with sauce with cheap careless cuts of pork.

Mongolian Lamb and the Cantonese Beef fillet were absolutely horrible. Both were over cooked and the meat was dry and tough. The chicken satay skewers were ok but the peanut sauce was like "goo". One star is too much, although the pork dumplings were edible too. I wont be ordering from here again.

The food here is often inconsistent and poor quality. The Sweet Sour Pork in Batter is served with a very small and overly sweet container of sweet and sour sauce. The pork is very greasy and has an unpleasant bitter pork smell so they dont bother wash it or use vinegar to remove the smell. The dish is too sweet, not enough carrot or pineapple. No celery or capsicum. I couldnt eat it and just threw it out. Many of their recipes are the cheap junk food kind of style and not the tasty kind of fresh Cantonese cuisine. Every other restaurant in Berwick does a better and cheaper version of this dish.

This time, we ordered 2 fried rice, as usual, and ended up with 2 bowls of rice that taste awful. The Peking fried rice is too dried, the rice is like cooked not well, duck was very hard, as it was taken out from the fridge (left over). And Nasi Goreng chicken fried rice was too sweet and dried. We never had ordered any bad fried rice like this before, even at the same restaurant. Dont want to give even 1 star. Why do you guys cook that bad now?? Do we pay too less?!! $50 for 2 bowls of rice and 3 pcs pork dim sum (taste not good too). To be honest, we couldnt swallow the food. I have photos but cant upload them anywhere. Otherwise, I will put them here to show how bad they are.
