Kuranda Homemade Tropical Fruit Ice Cream

Great place for ice cream, offering a good variety of flavors, very rich and creamy! Really nice man who runs it.

Let me just tell you thisnot only is Michelle extremely professional and talented, she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

The ice cream wasn't bad, but wasn't a tropical paradise either. I would say it was average and overpriced. But the reason for the review is that the owner was rather snippy and rude to us. The rest of my family walked away after she let a pushy client in front of us. I may have been too stubborn to get the hint, but I stayed and asked if we were "next?" She was rather brusque and disregarded me. Also tried to charge an extra dollar for two cups (I only wanted 2 scoops to share with my family in one cup). Also, only permitted one sample per person. At Gallo Dairy, further south in the Atherton Tablelands they permitted anyone to have any samples. Plus they had a much friendlier atmosphere. We did purchase from many other shops in the Original Rainforest market place and everyone else was super friendly. This one shop left us with a bad taste.

Very yummy dessert after busy morning checking out the market. Locally made icecreams with heaps of flavours to choose from. Mango & passion fruit was yum. Dairy free sorbet options also available. Well priced. A must on warm days.
