Akaushi Dining Yoka-yoka - Kumamoto

This chain serves Mt. Asos red Wagyu-Rind, one of the slenderest breeds of the cow. The cuts are still great, so a rare serving on rice tastes great! A bit expensive compared to typical Steak Donburi joints, but still worth trying a locally grown beef.

The Yakiniku-Rind don ¥1500 and the roast beef don ¥1800 was very tasty, we had the lunch break. The Don came with Onsen-Tamago. The beef steak was okay. Beef quality was really high.

Local restaurant and good quality of Kyushu meat. Price also lower than the amount it serves.

Beautifully prepared beef bowl. Eat each piece with Wasabi and some of the egg yolk and you will love it. A plus is that it is in the heart of nightlife and shopping district.

Come for the lunch 11am-3pm, the lunch steak don is only 1500yen. The steak was cooked really well and goes great with the onsen tamago and basil leaf. Really delicious and highly recommend.
