Coals On The Beach - Kuantan

Unfortunately we stayed only 2 nights at Hyatt Regency Resort, but we really did eat the best food in Coals at the Beach Restaurant twice. Great compliment to the cooker, who takes care of his guests and needs individual time for everyone. You can see how he is inspired to make his own guests happy by serving large dishes. He explained to us every single dish of the menu and told us how the kitchen crew prepares the food. During our second visit there was an event with many people, so we had to wait a little longer (not even 10 minutes). As an excuse, the cooker serves some local extra dishes at its expense, which was a very nice touch! All in all, the taste of the dishes was excellent and phenomenal. Certainly one of the best food we ever had in Malaysia.(and we had a lot! Thanks for this brilliant taste!

Had a nice meal here, the soups were delish and the mixed dish was very delicious. Service was great and the price was also.

The food quality has improved so much since the last time I've been here: Nasi goreng, char kway teow and chicken tikka taste amazing!! I Would definitely recommend it.

The location of the restaurant is extraordinary...right on the beach!! The white sand and the sea is right in front of you while you're dining. You would feel the breeze while you enjoy your meal. What a breathtaking view and everything was so beautiful. The staffs were extremely friendly and helpful. Purchased their chill grill which is only available on Fridays and Saturdays. It was a beautiful Saturday evening. However, I feel the menu could have been better for the price purchased. Taste wise, the grilled lamb, grilled fish and the desserts were excellent. Thank you to the staffs for making all the arrangements for the special occasion. Will be back again!
