Great food and impressive bar at a 5 star hotel. I ordered a number of dishes but the highlight was their fresh, juicy and succulent Grilled lobster. I used my Amex card that had a promotion so its more bang for the buck or else it can be very pricey. Chilled place for drinks and proper western food.

5 dishes to be reviewed (not the actual names in the menu : 1 Traditional Peking duck served with sauce, spring onions, and wrapped in pancakes. Personally I really like the taste of this dish. The skin of the duck was crispy, and there 's the right amount of fats in the duck. Meat wasn 't overcooked and those pieces that I ate was rather tender. The taste of sliced spring onions are quite strong, but if you love the taste then this is definitely a plus point. You 'll be asked if you want the servers to cut and wrap the ducks for you, or to so it yourself. We opted for them to wrap for us since I guess they should know the proportions better. 2 Stir fry vegetables with macadamia nuts (no photo . I quite like the overall taste of this dish. However the macadamia nuts are hard and I think it 's quite difficult to bite; take note if you 're ordering for the elderly. 3 Yam ring with chicken(? and cashews. Typical Chinese dish I like the soft, mushy texture of the yam ring. The meat pieces tastes normal, no wow factors. 4 Seafood and beancurd in claypot. I like the taste of this dish. We did not order any rice and this wasn 't too salty to be eaten by itself. There 's sea cucumber and scallops in the dish. Typical, and nice. 5 Sang har prawn noodles. This, to me, was below average. My piece of prawn was rather mushy. Noodles are overly salty. Was expecting this to be one of the best dishes ordered, but really, it isn 't. Maybe the chef wasn 't in good mood tonight ... Overall I think the food wasn 't the best, but still a nice choice if you 're looking for somewhere atas and with nice service. Gotta give it to the servers as they did well in their services. Plus point: This place had Chinese birthday paus which they served if you 're celebrating birthdays here. Not sure if it 's charge to my bill though , but I think it 's nice especially if it makes the elderly happy. PS. Do let them know if you 're a Shangri la Circle member, and you 'll get some discounts off the bill. Parking was RM15 (entered the premises around 7pm , should be charged per entry. Will give 4 stars for the good service, pretty decorations, and the fact that this dinner is discounted.

A good place for halal dimsum. The restaurant is beautiful, food is great, the service was a bit rushed the day we went however. The pricing though is extremely affordable for hotel dim sum. Would 8/10 recommend if you're looking for halal Chinese food.
