Restaurant Dorfkrug

After a short walk around old town of Gelsenkirchen-Buer this was looking the best. I mean an old pub style restaurant, decent menu, etc. So I chose this based on athmosphere (I do like gastro-pubs etc . Food was good and menu has some variety of typical German dishes. The bill had also almost the same prices as the menu ; . Couple of decent beers in tap too. I would visit happily again. For pure food quality maybe I would test some others too (without any clue if they are any better .

Dined here several times within the last few years. Great, good German dishes (big plates with a lot of food). And very affordable prices. Excellent beer and great service from the friendly staff. The interiour is also very nice: lots of woodwork and nice old pictures. Clean toilets!

Classic German bar. Lovely staff with great traditional food and great beer. I will always stop here for a pint or a bite to eat. We had a group meal here before Christmas and it was very tastey. I would definitely recommend.

In my opinion they have the best Schnitzels of all Germany. The restaurant is very traditional and so comfy, I can only recommend
