Gleumes - Krefeld

We got a social evening here together with other 10 colleagues. Typical Germans brewery with kitchen I had typical pork leg with potatoes... great dish! Strongly recommended. Alt beer in a small glasses 0.25 in this way it stays chilly and fresh... . Curious way to get the dishes from the kitchen located to the flore above the restaurant. there is an elevator driven manually with a big cord, when the dishes are ready, someone knock to the elevator wood guide and the elevator will arrive in a second... the brake is a basket ball at the end of the journey to prepare a soft arrived... enjoy.

Gleumes was always the same, a good local brewery (since 1807) with a german menu and very good service. I have just visited with 13 friends and can only report that Gleumes has changed. OK it was a hot Monday evening and maybe it was a quiet night for business but it didn't have the old Gleumes ambiance. The food was the same tasty food that we expect at Gleumes but as there were not many customers, the atmosphere was quiet and low key. I must now visit on a busy Saturday evening to see if it is just a one off or has it really changed. I can only say, watch this space.

Gleumes is well known throughout Krefeld as a popular eating house and also as a beer drinkers paradise, the service is quick with a beer in your hand almost as you sit down at your table. The food is wholesome, simple & tasty. Gleumes is also well known for their entertaining evenings such as Jazz and other musical offerings. The Gleumes atmosphere is also special and is very popular within the city.Gleumes is also a brewery and their beer is very good, I can recommend a visit for an interesting evenings entertainment.

Gleumes visited a long time ago and I love it. two days ago gleumes visited for dinner. I ordered a carving, and my wife was throwing one. I've never got such a bad meal. only our courtesy at the place was the face of not complaining. the worst pub is even better. never again, sorry!

One of the many small breweries attached to a restaurant makes a difference. very delicious and fresh local beer as well as traditional German and Rhineland dishes. the quality of eating is certainly not high as the restaurant is at medium price. level, but no complain! the service is quite slow, but friendly and open. we had the pleasure of being introduced into the brewery and its history by the co-owner himself, very beautifully! a good recommendation, also for business with foreign guests and partners.
