Onze eerste nacht op Bonaire. We verbleven bij Chogogo en wilden daarom dichtbij ons verblijf eten. La Balandra was niet eenvoudig te vinden om een reservering te maken. Maar goed dat we het uiteindelijk hebben gevonden. We hebben geweldig gegeten en genoten van een mooie wijn erbij. En dat uitzicht met de zonsondergang op de pier was echt prachtig! Het is niet goedkoop, maar je krijgt er wel echt iets voor terug.

The view You was beautiful. The staff was very good and the food was great.

It was one of the most challenging places to gain access to that I've ever experienced. The restaurant is located at the very rear of the Fort Knox of beach resorts. I tried going in one way, walked about 300 meters, and was told to turn around. Went around, the same thing. Finally found the one and only entrance into the compound containing the restaurant. Once I got there I had to be escorted by the security guard to the restaurant. The setting of the restaurant was very nice, it hangs over the edge of the entrance of the marina inside of the beach resort. That part I did like. The food was 3 stars for a few reasons. Bonaire has some of the finest culinary experiences on the planet but the food was clearly inexpensive and therefore tasted like cheap, regular food. Definitely did not meet expectations. The only thing I enjoyed was the photos we took. Would not recommend it because there are many many much better options very close by. Save your time and money on this one.
