Location: THE FOREST (contains shops selling sportswear) is walkable from Mongkok MTR, near Ladies Market and Sneaker Street. Ambiance: Open concept with shelves selling veg*n snacks and food. Nice vibes but limited tables for groups. Food: Carries major international brands — Beyond burger, Omnipork and JUST egg. An exciting menu if you enjoy mock meat, however not a lot of options if you just want whole plant food. Also serves all kinds of international food, from burgers to curry fish balls. Food was tasty, but a tad bit salty. Portion sizes were good. Price: Pricey because of the famous mock meat brands. Dishes without were slightly cheaper. Service: Menu includes English, Chinese and pictures. Servers were friendly and nice. Overall: interesting food, but will probably not go back again
This is more of a mini-restaurant, with tables accommodating (by my count) ~20 people, plus a bar area. The Pho is tasty, although like most food selections at the Green Commons franchise is fake meat-heavy. The spaghetti bolognese is nice, with a fresh tomato-heavy sauce. I’d like to see more food selections that have no (or at least less) fake meat, and more fresh vegetables.
Living next door to HK in Shenzhen in the mainland, places like this one are hard, if not impossible, to find. I absolutely loved my beyond meat burger- the truffle sauce was delicious! They sell kombucha too (SCORE!! and the grocery selection is overall pretty impressive. I will definitely be back to try more dishes! Updated from previous review on 2018-03-15
I do like the fact that the restaurant comes alongside with the store, however I do find that some products are relatively pricey while some are reasonably priced and some products are quite unique. Personal motto As vegan, we must ourselves be aware of the food ingredients being used and understand that the fact that some restaurants we visit serves a variety that caters different types of vegetarian and must appreciate that this is a positive gateway to encourage people to try out this lifestyle Updated from previous review on 2017-11-28
