Lokmahane - Konya

Lokmahane is a hidden gem in a picturesque area of Konya, in the immediate vicinity of the tomb of Mevlana. When we walked through the doors, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming smile of the owner. Despite the language barrier, the owner went out of the way to ensure that we felt comfortable, answer all the questions we had and make gracious recommendations for courts to try. The interior of Lokmahane is beautifully designed with glasses of pickles and art that decorate the walls and create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The court for us was the lamb tire with yogurt. The flavors were rich and succulent, with the yogurt adding a tanged contrast that increases the dish to new heights. We were referred to Lokmahane at Hotel Araf where we were and we could not be grateful for the recommendation. The restaurant has exceeded our expectations in every way. Not only the food was delicious, but also the care for Konya's traditional cuisine and culture are reflected in every aspect of the restaurant, making it a perfect place to have an unforgettable culinary experience. We highly recommend Lokmahane to anyone who visits Konya, because it is really a culinary destination not to miss.

Brilliant restaurant for authentic Turkish cuisine. We came shortly before they closed, but they went out to take us. Brilliant service overall and food was great.

I had an early dinner and had the restaurant for me: The service was fast and the lamb ribs in apricot stew were delicious. Dinner came with Meze and that was also delicious. It is a very cozy cafe restaurant with wooden panels and a kitchen in which you can look, glasses of pimples and jams all over the place. It reminds me of an Italian tavern. I'd be back in Konya.

Excellent place for breakfast I went there on Sunday morning to taste their breakfast. They have a wide selection of dishes, from veggie omelette and meat omelette, cheese, olives and all kinds of jams in addition to Turkish tea and delicious bread. All this at a very decent price of 60 TL. Very recommended when visiting Konya.

It is located in a nice place. The staff were really friendly. Everything was clean and tidy. A large group of tourists were dining while we were having breakfast. I definitely recommend them.
