The Dolphin Poipu - KOLOA

We dined at the Sushi Bar and tried the rainbow dish. It was the best poke we've had on the island! I opted for the poke with rice, while my wife chose salad as her base. I'm quite particular about my rice and dislike it when it's hard or mushy, but this was just right! The staff was friendly, the food was excellent, and the fish was incredibly fresh!

Set your expectations accordingly. We arrived before our reservation on a Friday night and were immediately informed that there were only two servers on duty. While Keenan was friendly, we were quite disappointed with the limited menu options: panko-crusted fish, children's fish and chips, grilled mahi, and somehow we ended up with the last hamachi kama. The two rolls we ordered were tasty, but the lack of variety really detracted from our experience. Overall, our expectations were not met.

The sushi here is excellent! While the menu doesn’t offer a ton of sushi rolls, you don’t really need a hundred options. There are four offerings: Dolphin (which is pictured), Flyin' Hawaiian, Unagi, and U-Megan-Me-Crazy. All of them were fantastic, but my favorites were the Dolphin and Unagi. I recommend making a reservation. We went for dinner, and the sushi options are available on the dinner menu. The restaurant has a lovely seating area—it's a free area that feels like a covered veranda. We would definitely return!

The best restaurant on kauai that I tried to downstairs. the fish here is incredible, especially the yellow **** with jalapeño in a truffle pimp that is the best thing I have eaten in the last memory. very recommend the calamari, which is super delicate and very different from others I have tried. the over the upper sushi reels are also good, but I would recommend to try their other things first. book on how it fills, despite how popularity graphics look. great view of the sunset, although slightly covered by some trees.

Started with calamari, incredible! Had some sushi, some teriyaki ahi and a delicious hebi!!! Every bite was delicious! Waiter was super knowledgeable and helpful in our selections. Service is outstanding! The staff here have a family vibe! The chefs are top notch! Make a reservation and experience this restaurant! Ownership is doing something fantastic here! Don?t miss out!
