Jorasanko Thakurbari - Kolkata

Jorasanko Thakur Bari in Jorasanko, North Kolkata, West Bengal, India, is the ancestral home of the Tagore family. It is currently located on the Rabindra Bharati University . It is the house in which the poet and first non-European Nobel laureate in Literature, Rabindranath Tagore was born. It is also the place where he spent most of his childhood and died on 7 August 1941.

Awesome place with a old Jamindar bari vibes. Every room has archived properly. As well as 50% visiting fees discount for students.

This is the only place where you can take photographs but you have to buy tickets for clicking photos.... And there is another set of ticket for entering the thakurbari but photography is prohibited there.... And at this point of time due to the pandemic one must be fully vaccinated and carry their final vaccination certificate(soft copy) otherwise one can't get a entry here...
